In Peru, “Pitri Mitri” means, “Awesome!”

(This is what I think when I see mosaics!)

I took a couple of classes at The Chicago Mosaic School, so I’m mostly self-taught.

I work on a smaller scale; most of my work is 6″ by 8″ or smaller.

The bright flowers are especially nice in the winter.

I love this stage, when you apply a glue wash before the grouting step, to keep the grout from bleeding behind the pieces of glass.
